Pumpkin Patch 2011

We finally were able to squeeze in time on Tuesday to go to the pumpkin patch at Emerson's school. It's weird with both of them being in two different schools and it makes me sad. Landon even asked why he didn't go to school there anymore and why his school doesn't have a pumpkin patch. He doesn't quite understand the difference between preschool (which we pay for) and public school (which is free). Big differences! Wish they could just always stay in fun and innocent preschool. Landon enjoyed posing at the pumpkin patch and wanted to take pictures and pose for me everywhere. He loves taking pictures and is quite photogenic although he is struggling some with the "cheese" smile and when we try to fix it we end up with all sorts of silly faces. He was so sweet and cooperative. I just want to squeeze his cheeks in all of these handsome photos. Now, all Emerson wanted to do was to gather as many pumpkins in her hands as possible, same as last year. We call her "hoarder" at home all the time. She is something else. She did not want to stop to take pictures and when she did she made all sorts of cheese and silly faces. We tried everything and still ended up with some crazy smiles. Oh well, it shows her personality! The kids just love the pumpkin patch especially since we have been going to the same one since October 2006 right before Landon turned one. So many memories and I just love comparing the pictures each year! We also always run into friends from school at the patch too. Do you think we will be able to take them to the pumpkin patch for pictures when they are teenagers??? That's why I take so many pictures as I'm not sure how much longer they will let us do this! Plus my camera this year is WAY better. Enjoy lots of precious pictures of my sweet babies!

Fall Fun at Gymnastics

On Tuesday at gymnastics Emerson's class had fall fun activities where they got to wear their Halloween costumes and get candy from all of their friends. There were some cute activities as well as a little "haunted house" they created out of the tumbling mats. The kids all had a blast!


Emerson wore her Rapunzel dress. She is going to be Belle for Halloween but I didn't want her ruining her new dress running and tumbling around.











Sweet friends! They were all in the same class together at school last year too. We were missing 2 friends in this picture. Many good memories made with these precious kiddos and their mommy's.

Come Fly With Me

My dad has been wanting to take the kids to Intercontinental Airport to check it out and watch the planes land/take-off for a few weeks now. He knows the ends and outs of the airport and knows where to go. We attempted a few Sundays ago but that was the day that it rained all afternoon. This past Sunday after church and lunch they were able to go with my parents and they had such a great time. We have visited our small local air strip by the house many times as well as a small air show but they have never been to the big airport with the big planes up close. Landon was in awe and full of his usual questions. He is really the most curious, observant kiddo I have ever seen. He literally soaks up knowledge and loves it. He's my little book worm! Emerson is all about the fun although she is starting to ask questions. Below is a quick recap of what my parents said the kids enjoyed:

Landon was impressed driving up to the terminal with all the big planes around. He kept saying "oh my God, look at the planes!". Emerson entertained us on the way. I told her to sing us a song. She did not stop until we crossed I-45. They were impressed by the baggage return. Landon asked a lot of questions on the train like what are the noises from, etc. We could look down on the security line and xray machines and explained you go through security and then to the planes.
