Volleyball and Golf

Each week has consisted of volleyball practice on Wednesday, golf practice on Thursday, and volleyball games mixed in.  Both kids are really enjoying their respective sports.  They are eager to go and to work hard and practice.  Jason ended up being an assistant coach for Emerson's Dragons and is pretty much leading practice and most games.  It's been interesting and we are all learning a lot!

Jason's 40th Birthday!

A week before Jason's 40th birthday he had to have surgery to have his gall bladder removed.  It was pretty rough for him and it was a long recovery, one that is still not over yet.  The kids were so sweet and helpful and Emerson of course created a Lego basket to hold all of his get well greetings.  A week after his surgery a group of friends met up with us at the Redneck Country Club to see Steve Wariner and to celebrate Jason's 40th.  We had the tickets purchased months before and we weren't going to miss it.  It was a great night with great company and a great show!  Steve puts on one heck of a show!  We all had so much fun.  Afterwards we went to Mo's with Chad and Tammy to get some food and more drinks and we got home super late.  The next day the kids celebrated with Jason with a cookie cake and of course a decorated counter with place cards for everybody too.  This girl loves to plan a party!  Let's hope this time next year on his birthday Jason isn't having surgery again.
