Lost Pines

On the Friday after science camp at church we headed to my little peace of heaven, Lost Pines Resort, in Bastrop.  We were meeting our friends/neighbors, The Ferrouhki's, who had been there for a few days prior.  I just love Lost Pines and its atmosphere and all of the old fashion fun it offers for kids.  So many outdoor things to do and their food and drinks are absolutely delicious too.  Emerson loved all of the animals and nature, taking walks in the butterfly garden, and sitting on the longhorns and having her hair braided.  Landon enjoyed playing with the boys Walker and McKane, riding the mechanical bull, and playing water volleyball.  They both enjoyed the slide and lazy river for many many hours.  On the last day they did some arts and crafts and then watched an amazing birds of prey show.  It was a pretty hot July weekend but we had a lot of fun and will definitely be returning next summer for sure!  On the way home we stopped for a delicious lunch at a BBQ place and hung out with the Ferrouhki's some more before the drive home.
