Chunky Thumb Sucker
For about the past 10 days Emerson has been going through a serious growth spurt of the likes I have never seen before! She quit sleeping through the night and was vigorously drinking 37+ ounces a day (she would drink more if I let her). Today she is starting to slow down some and did not wake up during the night last night. So, she is really starting to get chunky just like her brother! We are hoping once she starts cereal in 2 1/2 weeks she will quit drinking so much formula. And, she loves to suck her thumb.....forget the paci! Anybody have the name of a good orthodontist? :)

Good Deed
Last night while we were outside with the kids around 7pm our neighbor comes over and gets Jason to come look at a baby squirrel (about 2-3 weeks old) that he found in his yard at 10am that must of fell out of the tree and the mom did not come back for it. The neighbor did not know what to do with it (a young single guy) and was going to either let it die or let his dogs eat it....yikes!! I WAS NOT going to let that happen and neither was Jason as he is sensitive about animals too. So, after surfing the internet and making about 6 phone calls I got a hold of the TWRC right as they were about to close at 7:30pm. She gave me instructions on what to do and then we were going to drop off the squirrel in the morning when they opened at 10am. We were concerned that he was not going to make it through the night and we both checked on him many times. Surprisingly, he survived and I was able to drop him off at the TWRC around 11am. They said he will probably be fine and that we did the right thing and followed instructions perfectly. Someone will call us eventually and update us on the squirrel's status. So, we did a good deed and are so glad he survived....what a lucky little guy!
On another note, I can't have a post without some pictures of the kiddos....

Miss Smiley
I think Emerson is definitely going to be our little social butterfly. She smiles, coos, and laughs so much now. As soon as she sees me smile or Landon laugh, she breaks out into a huge ear to ear smile several times. So cute! She loves to interact with people and is not really sleeping much during the day because she wants to be social. As soon as you step into her room or sit in her rocking chair she is inconsolable until you take her back into the living room. ROTTEN!

The Wiggles
Jason and I took Landon to see The Wiggles on Sunday evening. Jason was not excited about going, but I have to say it was really enjoyable, funny, and I had a great time....probably more so than Landon! The guys were actually really entertaining and have great personalities. And it was fun to sing along to all the songs I hear over and over at home. And, funny things happen when it is live and not scripted! Landon pretty much sat in my lap the whole time with the deer in the headlights look. He actually freaked out in the beginning when he saw the light beam coming from the spot light and was literally crawling all over us to get the heck out of there while crying, yelling "go", and looking over his shoulder at the light (very strange!). Once we got him distracted he was fine, but he was very skeptical of that light. I guess he thought it was like fireworks, which he is absolutely terrified of now. All in all, we had a great time and we had really good seats!

Busy Weekend
We were very busy this past weekend. We went to a surprise anniversary party on Saturday afternoon, celebrated Nana's (Jason's mom) birthday Saturday evening, and went to The Wiggles on Sunday. I'll have another post with some pictures from The Wiggles.
